Mental Health Resources for Children, Teenagers, and Young Adults
Supporting families who are raising children with emotional and mental health needs

Allegheny Family Network (AFN) is a “family-run” agency, meaning all of our employees are a parent or a caregiver who has raised a child with mental health and/or emotional challenges.
Our staff brings a wealth of knowledge and experience and understands family and children’s rights when it comes to mental health and behavioral challenges, and we know how and when to advocate on behalf of children with special needs.
AFN Partners with the Allegheny County Department of Human Services and the following mental health support agencies:
- Starting Early Together (SET) – For Children 0-6 years with potential mental health concerns
- Community Connections for Families (CCF) – For families with children aged 7 -14 years who have mental health concerns
- Partners for Youth in Transition (PYT) – For Teenagers 15-21 years with mental health concerns
- High Fidelity Wraparound – For Children 0-21 with a mental health diagnosis
- FAST & HSAO – For Youth in the Juvenile Justice System
- Children, Youth, & Families – For families that have youth entering a shelter
- AFN Chat Line – A confidential support line. Call 1-888-273-2361
