Laurie Mulvey

Founding Member, Board of Directors

Laurie Mulvey has been on the Board of Directors of Allegheny Family Network since its inception in 2005.  She served as Board President from 2008-2012. Laurie is also on the Community Board of Community Care Behavioral Health Organization, a health insurance company that has been helping people throughout Pennsylvania recover from mental health conditions and addiction for more than 20 years.  As a family member supporting the growth and development of sons and grandsons with special needs, Laurie has been an active advocate for family voices to be engaged in designing, implementing, and improving services at all levels.   

Professionally, Laurie Mulvey, MSW, retired in 2017 from the University of Pittsburgh Office of Child Development after 28 years as the Director of Service Demonstrations.  In that role, she helped identify issues challenging children and families in Allegheny County and helped agencies design and implement effective services and strategies to help families thrive and grow.
